Amman, 13 September 2014
In coordination with MED-EL and Jordan Hearing Aids, a workshop entitled ‘BONEBRIDGE Implant’ was held on Saturday, for the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department at the Jordanian Royal Medical Services (JMRS) at King Hussein Medical City.
The workshop aimed at showcasing the latest scientific and technical developments regarding improving hearing among patients who are over six years old. The workshop focused on the use of a BONEBRIDGE implant system, which was first used in Germany three years ago, to help those suffering from birth defects in the ear canal, as well as conductive hearing loss caused by problems in the middle and outer ear.
On the sidelines of the workshop, the medical team from JMRS – headed by Brig. Dr. Mohammad Hiari – conducted operations to insert the implant system in the ears of patients suffering from hearing impairments.
