Why is Hearing Important?

Hearing is often regarded as the most important of the five human senses. Unlike other senses, hearing is developed before birth, allowing the unborn to experience sounds such as the mother’s heartbeat, voice and other external noises. Hearing allows us to experience life more fully and without any hindrance. It has the ability to affect our emotional and social health, as well as to enable us to appreciate all sorts of sound around us on a daily basis. Hearing helps us to communicate, learn, socialize and interact with one another efficiently, as well as to work, relax, and keep us safe from potential danger.
